Lard has different uses, mainly in different culinary preparations. One of the most common is the fat element in the frying of some elements either vegetables such as meat or fish. 

Used as smeared in the Andalusian cuisine is used in breakfasts: Manteca colo or Zurrapa de Lomo. 

In the elaboration of sausages (after the slaughter of pork) is usually used as a filling of the same in conjunction with the lean parts. It is one of the ingredients of typical spanish cured sausages.
